Positioning The Part
1. Open the file Positioning.XFA |

2. Click on the Select All icon on the Selection Toolbar to select the objects to be moved |

3. Click the Rotate icon on the Modify Toolbar |
| |

4. Rotate the part -90 degrees, around the Coordinate 0,0 |

| |
Result:
The Part has been rotated. |

Next we will move the part into the positive X,Y quadrant.
1. Make sure the part is still selected, and click the Move icon on the modify toolbar. |

2. We do not wish to make a copy, change layers, or rescale, so keep all 3 unchecked and
click OK. Choose End point from the Position list.

4. Select the endpoint at the lower left corner. |
| |

5. Select Coordinate from the list, and enter 0,0. |
| |

| |
Result:
The endpoint we selected has been made the 0,0 point, and the part is now located in the positive quadrant. |

If you want to move another face of your part into a machinable position, OneCNC provides an easy process to rotate the part in this manner, even if you do not know the needed angle of rotation.
1. Click on View > Back View |

2. The face that we would like to machine is now displayed, but not in the proper position to
do so. Click the plane icon, and choose create plane from surface. |

3. Select the surface facing us. |
| |
 |
| |
4. The plane has been positioned onto this surface. |

5. Left click the select all icon on the selection toolbar.

| |
6. Go to the Edit menu, choose placement and Move selection FROM plane (In car position)
|

7. Click on View and choose Top View |
| |
 |
| |
8. The surface we selected is now in a machinable position. |
